Last weekend the Spanish University Horse Riding Championship was held at the facilities of the Camilo José Cela University, which Alba Requena attended on behalf of the Miguel Hernández University of Elche.

The first test, held on Saturday September 18, consisted of two rounds with a height of 1’20m, eleven jumps and thirteen efforts. A simple test for riders and amazons of the experience that was in the tournament. In the second round, the route was the same as the previous one, increasing the heights to 1’25m, the difficulty was very similar and technically the same for horses and riders.

After the end of the first day, Alba occupied the 23rd position in the general classification.

The last round took place on Sunday 19, in this case it was much more complex than the previous day, both technically and physically. The heights were raised to 1.30m, with a total of eleven jumps, in which there was a double and a triple. This course was a lot more hassle for most riders. However, Alba Requena, got the third place in this test, which made him climb in the classification to the tenth position in the general classification.

The CEU champion was the rider Mario Villapalos from the Carlos III University of Madrid.
