The UMH invites its community to join the 30 Days by Bike Challenge

The Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH) has joined the 30 Days by Bike Challenge, an initiative of Ciclogreen to
promote the change of habit towards more sustainable means of transport.

The Challenge will be active from April 1 to 30, 2021, where each participant can accumulate up to 30 km by bicycle and add them to the total accumulated by the UMH community. To participate you have to follow three simple steps: 1. Download the Ciclogreen app on an iOS or Android mobile, 2. Register as a member of the UMH and use the code “umhwin”, and 3. Get around by bike! the app to record movements in this medium. Friends may be invited to contribute to the positioning of the UMH in the ranking of participating universities, having been in 7th place in 2020 with an accumulation of 1,522 km traveled.

Participants will be eligible for prizes such as a running hydration belt, first aid kit, bicycle mirrors, unisex helmets, hiking sunglasses or unisex cycling gloves.

This is an initiative promoted by the Environmental and Sustainable Development Area of ​​the UMH, in collaboration with the Office of Healthy and Sports Campus. With it, the UMH tries to contribute to Sustainable Development Goals # 3 of health and well-being, # 11 to make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable, and # 13 to combat climate change and their efects.
