The Miguel Hernández University of Elche has announced a new edition of the UMH Sports Talents programme, aimed at students in upper secondary education and vocational training with an outstanding sporting record, with the aim of facilitating their access to university and enhancing their academic and sporting development.
The programme, which offers a maximum of 10 places, seeks to support young athletes from the province of Alicante who demonstrate a high competitive level or outstanding results in national or international championships.
Among its main benefits are the funding of the first-year university tuition fees, as well as access to specialised sports performance monitoring services at the UMH Sports Research Centre. In addition, participants will receive academic tutoring, specific training, and access to university facilities.
The call also promotes equality and inclusion, ensuring a balanced gender distribution and reserving at least one place for students with disabilities.
The application period will be 10 working days from its publication in the UMH Official Bulletin, and applications must be submitted through the university’s electronic headquarters.
