The Universidad Miguel Hernández de Elche (UMH) announces scholarships for Summer School and Junior Classroom monitors 2026

The Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH) has approved the call for collaboration scholarships aimed at students interested in participating as monitors in the Summer School and Junior Classroom 2026. The programme is intended to fund up to 43 scholarships, with an individual amount of up to €950.

The aim of these grants is to provide university students with practical training experience in the field of education and children’s and youth leisure activities. Beneficiaries will take part in the design and development of recreational activities adapted to children and teenagers, fostering skills such as teamwork, educational support, and socio-cultural animation. Activities will take place during July 2026, including both general programmes and three specific positions for aquatic activities at the Elche campus.

Students enrolled at UMH during the 2025–2026 academic year who have completed at least 75% of their credits and have training as summer school monitors or equivalent may apply. Applicants must also provide a certificate regarding sexual offences and meet the rest of the requirements set out in the call.

The scholarships will be awarded through a competitive process, taking into account factors such as family income, academic record, and relevant experience or training.

The application period will run from April 22 to May 6 (inclusive). Full details can be found in the Official Gazette of Miguel Hernández University.
