On February 12, the Karate CADU was held at the Santa Joan d’Alacant Sports Center organized by the Miguel Hernández University.

Despite the fact that the competition has been affected by numerous casualties due to COVID, which has meant that athletes from the various universities have not been able to attend the event, there have been more than 50 athletes in the kata and kumite modalities.

Regarding the participation of the UMH, we want to congratulate Ana Arenas González who won the gold in the kumite -68 kg category and Paula González Santos who won the bronze in kata with two very good performances. We are sure that they will give a lot of trouble and will play a great role in the next karate CEU representing the UMH.

In the general by universities, the University of Valencia was the first classified, followed by the Polytechnic University of Valencia and the University of Alicante.

Thank the Sant Joan d’Alacant town hall and the Valencian Karate Federation for their collaboration one more year and making this event possible.
