Game regulations (extracted from lichess.org)
Is it for points?
This tournament is for points and will affect your score.
How are scores calculated?
For starters, wins are worth 2 points, tables 1 point and losses 0 points.
If you win two games in a row, you will start a double scoring streak, represented by a flame icon. From then on and as long as you keep winning, each game will be worth twice as much; that is, the wins 4 points and the tables 2 points. A loss will continue to be worth zero points.
For example:
Three wins in a row are worth 8 points: 2 + 2 + (2 × 2)
Two wins and a draw are worth 6 points: 2 + 2 + (1 × 2)
Two wins, one loss and a draw are worth 5 points: 2 + 2 + 0 + 1
Berserk mode
When a player or player presses the berserk button at the beginning of a game, they lose half their time, but victory is worth an additional point.
In time controls that have an increment, the berserk option also cancels the increment (1 + 2 is an exception, since only the increment is canceled, but the time is not halved, resulting in 1 + 0).
Berserk mode is not available on time controls with zero start time like 0 + 1 or 0 + 2.
Berserk mode only provides an additional point for each victory if you play at least 7 moves in the game.
How is the classification decided?
The classification will be made taking into account the number of points obtained at the end of the tournament, ranking first the person with the highest number of points.
How are the pairings made?
At the start of the tournament, entrants will be matched based on their score.
As soon as you finish a game, you return to the tournament hall, and you will be paired with a person with a score similar to yours. This minimizes waiting time, although you may not play against all the other people participating in the tournament.
Play fast and return to the hall to play more games and earn more points.
When it ends?
The tournament has a countdown clock. When it reaches zero, the tournament rankings are frozen and the winner is proclaimed. The games that are in play must be ended, although they do not count towards the tournament result.
Other important rules
There is a countdown to the first move. If you don’t make the first move in time, you lose the game.
If the game ends in a draw during the first 10 moves, no points will be awarded to any participant.
