Our universitary sport is successfull

It could not finish the season better than with the two milestones that were achieved yesterday in Valencia. On the one hand, our men’s handball team, which for the first time reached an autonomic final, and after losing all the game, managed to tie to go to overtime against the seasoned team of the University of Castellón. With the moral high above, they overflowed with a great defense and an effective attack to the UJI in the extra 10 minutes, finishing the match with a score of 36-33. The men’s Handball, which was once the Spanish Championships, but by invitation, will now be in them in their own right.
From another folder are made the players of our male Futsal team, who repeat a victory in the CADU final against the University of Valencia, but this time in his own home. During the game there were alternatives on the scoreboard, but the final draw was given by the UMH, to climb a 4-3 and win the match 5-4 in an agonizing final. It is the second consecutive autonomic title for our men’s futsal, which shows that things are still doing well even with the absence of the coach, Oscar Garcia, and with the new reins of Ximo Bou.
The cross was given by our Futsal girls, who could not do anything to counter the semi-professional team at the University of Alicante.
In any case, the UMH demonstrates that it is already at the forefront of autonomic university sport, and is consolidated as the second university of the Valencian Community, in terms of results obtained, since 2 golds so accredit it, ahead of universities such as Alicante or the Polytechnic of Valencia.
It was a good day to debut the 20 anniversary t-shirt, which will also be used in the Spanish Championships in Murcia in the coming months of April and May.
