This course is specifically designed to prepare future <\/span><\/span>monitors for the UMH Summer School<\/span><\/span><\/strong> , a project with over 20 years of history that was created to meet the needs of families to balance work and family life during the holiday period, offering children an educational, recreational and safe environment.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The course aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully perform the duties of a summer school monitor. Its main objectives include:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n To learn about the operation and organization of the UMH Summer School.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n Acquire educational and entertainment skills for boys and girls between 4 and 14 years old.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n Develop skills in conflict resolution and teamwork.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n Train in basic pediatric first aid.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n The training program for the Summer School Monitor Course is structured in the following modules:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Role of summer school monitor<\/span><\/span><\/strong> (4 hours).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n Teamwork and conflict resolution<\/span><\/span><\/strong> (4 hours).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n First aid<\/span><\/span><\/strong> (16 hours).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n ICT in summer school<\/span><\/span><\/strong> (4 hours).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n Child and youth development and animation techniques<\/span><\/span><\/strong> (8 hours).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n Attention to diversity<\/span><\/span><\/strong> (4 hours).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n Development of an animation program for summer school<\/span><\/span><\/strong> (10 hours). <\/span><\/span> The course will take place <\/span><\/span>from February 16 to March 11, 2026<\/span><\/span><\/strong> at the <\/span><\/span>Elche Campus<\/span><\/span><\/strong> .<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Those interested can find all the detailed information about the course, as well as the registration process, at the following link:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>https:\/\/www.umh.es\/contenido\/Estudios\/:tit_fpo_17455\/datos_es.html<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/p>\nEducational objectives<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n
